Chelsea skipper John Terry refused to fully commit to England’s World Cup qualifying campaign yesterday.

Chelsea skipper John Terry refused to fully commit to England’s World Cup qualifying campaign yesterday.

The defender was one of the Roy Hodgson side’s star performers during Euro 2012 and his recent acquittal means the path is clear for him to play in England’s World Cup 2014 campaign.

But when asked about whether he was keen to continue with England, Terry replied: “It’s the start of the season isn’t it? It’s encouraging when you take a step back.

“Obviously being knocked out was disappointing, but under Roy it was good. And its important that I’m here now and just concentrating on my football.”
